Our Privacy Promise…

Your privacy is important to us at Qmarkets, which is why we are happy to uphold stringent personal data protection laws, and to be transparent about how we collect and use your information.

In accordance with the GDPR we are making a continuous effort to update and improve this privacy policy. This includes changing the way our data is used, improving the way consent is secured, and making it easier for you to control and amend your personal information.

This privacy policy is intended to give you confidence in the privacy and security of the personal information we obtain from you; so whether you visit our blog, subscribe to our newsletter, or become one of our clients, we promise that your data will remain confidential, and that your experience with Qmarkets will be nothing but enjoyable!

Types of data we collect

For marketing and statistical information, this website may collect the domain name that visitors are arriving from (but not the e-mail address of visitors, unless specifically provided by the user), aggregate information on what pages consumers’ access or visit, IP addresses, information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.

Website Cookies

This website uses cookies to record session information, such as time spent on a specific page, customize web page content based on visitors’ browser type or other information that the visitor sends.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, and to customize the content and/or layout of our pages for each individual visitor.

Google Analytics

On qmarkets.net we use Google Analytics to collect standard website data and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to various pages within the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website through Google Analytics.

We have configured Google Analytics to ensure that it does not record the IP addresses of any visitors to Qmarkets webpages, enabling users to remain anonymous while we track usership data and statistics.

Hotjar

We use Hotjar to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices (in particular device’s IP address (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to display our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user. For further details, please see Hotjar’s privacy policy.

Customer email lists: Consent, Legitimate Interest, and preferences

By supplying Qmarkets with your email address (either when registering for a demo, signing up for a newsletter, event, report, or any other request) you will be contacted by Qmarkets with information relating to your request, and with related marketing communications as described below.

We will use your data only where it is necessary for our legitimate interests, and where your fundamental rights are not overridden by that usage.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Management of our relationship with you and your company, in order to make sure you’re aware of important changes that might effect or interest you
  • Delivery of relevant content or materials for the purpose of education and customer success
  • Invitations to join events, webinars, and workshops which are relevant to your interest
  • Administration and optimization of this website, and to improve our products & services

Where the law of your country requires your consent before we send marketing emails, we will ask for it separately and will not send you marketing without it.

You can opt-out of these electronic communications at any time by following the instructions in our emails, visiting our preferences page, or by sending a request to Data.Protection@Qmarkets.net. You also have the right to object to any processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests, including profiling for marketing purposes — see “Your rights” below.

We use a third-party provider, Hubspot, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. For more information, please see Hubspot’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.

We also use service providers who process personal data on our behalf and only on our instructions. This includes but is not limited to tools such as Amplemarket — sales outreach and contact enrichment; Gong — recording and analysis of sales calls; Microsoft 365 — email and document storage; and monday.com — internal work management.

Information we obtain from other sources

In addition to information you give us directly, we obtain limited business contact information about professionals who we believe may have a genuine interest in our products. This is typically your name, job title, employer, business email address and business phone number.

We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in marketing our products to relevant business decision-makers, having assessed that this does not override your rights. We will tell you where we obtained your details when we first contact you, and you can object at any time by replying to the message or emailing Data.Protection@Qmarkets.net — we will then stop and suppress your details from future outreach.

Telephone numbers

If you supply us with your telephone number on-line, you may receive telephone contact from us with information relating to their contact request. If you do not wish to receive such telephone calls, please let us know by sending an e-mail to Data.Protection@Qmarkets.net.

Where our calls with you are recorded or transcribed for training, quality and note-taking purposes, we will tell you at the start of the call and you can ask us not to record.

Your rights

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. You also have the right to ask us to restrict how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, to object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests (including direct marketing, which we will always stop on request), and to withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it. Email your request to our data protection team at Data.Protection@Qmarkets.net.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. A list of EEA authorities is available on the European Data Protection Board’s website.
